Fast Taxi Boat From Jaco To Montezuma
Not quite your typical taxi ride, because you may end up with wet feet as you board our ferry from Jaco to Montezuma on playa Herradura, right next to Jaco. Fasten your regulation issue lifejacket and remember to listen up when our bilingual crew take you through their safety drill! This super quick boat ride provides the opportunity to view some of Costa Rica’s fabulous Pacific coastline and you may even spot the likes of Dolphins, Turtles, Manta Rays and sometimes even Whales too. This is the shortest traveling distance between Jaco and Montezuma on beautiful Nicoya Peninsula, with a one-way journey taking approximately one hour.
About The Boats
Your safety and well-being are our principal concern and you can be sure that we apply the highest level of safety standards on board the boats. We have three dedicated vessels operating on this ferry route, with the biggest accommodating up to 25 passengers comfortably. We also maintain our boats to meet the high marine safety standards in place. Each of the boats has a shade canopy covering approximately 70% of the passenger area, so you can choose to sit wherever you prefer.

Propulsion on the biggest of the boats is by way of powerful twin outboard engines delivering an awesome 400HP. Sit back and relax as our skilled crew head in the direction of the Nicoya Peninsula, or guide you back to Jaco on the return leg. They will provide a running commentary on anything interesting along the way, including where best to spot great marine wildlife. The water boat taxis make an impressive sight as they whisk you smoothly across the sheltered waters and power you effortlessly to the other side.

Strict regulations require us to keep an accurate passenger manifesto for safety purposes. This means we can only take bookings in advance of travel.
